14-minute walk from Asamushi Onsen, Aomori Sugi-no-Ie Guest House Asamushi 2 "HOTARU"

Opened in July 2026, Guest House Asamushi 2 "HOTARU" is a private house in a quiet environment, about a 14-minute walk from Asamushi Onsen Station. It was named after "Hotaru Lake," which is a few minutes' walk away, about 400 meters away. In early summer, you can see the magical sight of fireflies swarming along the lake shore. The pillars, floors, and fixtures are made of cedar from Aomori Prefecture, the main pillar is made of logs, and the bookshelves are made of cypress. The scent of wood drifts throughout the house. The exterior walls are also covered with cedar panels, and the warmth of wood envelops both the interior and exterior. The living room has a wood-burning stove, making it a calm space where you can feel the warmth of wood. The solid cedar floor is comfortable to walk on barefoot, and the handcrafted fixtures and sliding doors add a Japanese touch. The room faces south and gets plenty of sunlight, with sunlight streaming in through the large windows. There is a bed in the bedroom, and there is a kitchen and dining area, so you can enjoy cooking for yourself as well as staying with family or friends. Asamushi Onsen is also nearby, so you can enjoy day-use hot springs and walks along the sea. The surrounding area is very quiet, and in the morning you can hear the birds singing. Get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a special stay where you can be healed by the trees and nature of Aomori. Free parking for 2 cars on the premises Closed in January and February due to snow

KIKUNOMA, Aomori's Inn | A special stay wrapped in radiance | Capacity: 5 people

"Aomori no Oyado" is a fully independent apartment accommodation with a total of 4 rooms located in the centre of Aomori City. Cherry blossoms, peonies, wisteria, chrysanthemums── We have created different spaces, each with a theme of flowers that Japanese people have loved for centuries. This is not an inn where you can simply admire the flowers themselves, but rather an inn where you can appreciate the scenes and emotions entrusted to the flowers, as well as the sense of beauty that Japanese people have cherished. It's not a uniform space like a hotel, so there's the fun of choosing each room. "KIKUNOMA (Kikunoma)" on the 3rd floor is a guest room with a chrysanthemum theme, symbolizing traditional Japanese beauty. There are many varieties of chrysanthemums, with a wide range of colours and shapes, making them one of the most familiar flowers to Japanese people. The living room is boldly set up with a golden chrysanthemum art wall, which expresses glamour and strength. The bedroom is designed to create a space where you feel as if you are surrounded by a single chrysanthemum blossom that radiates outwards. While the design is striking, the calmness of chrysanthemum flowers was also emphasized. This room is recommended for guests who want to make their stay in Aomori a more special memory. There is a Bluetooth-enabled lantern speaker to create a peaceful atmosphere, but there is no TV. Please enjoy your time with family and friends.
