We are delighted to announce that a new Japanese-style tatami room, where you can experience Japanese tatami culture, has been added to our building.Previously, out of the dozen-plus rooms in the entire building, only one D2 four-person room was a Japanese-style room (and-shi), so many guests wanted to stay in a Japanese-style tatami room.In January 2026, we completed the upgrade to a new shared-room C2. Currently, there are only two shared-room types in the entire building. If you want to experience the feel of a traditional Japanese-style room, this is a good option! Welcome to our convenient and quiet accommodation in Kyoto, where you can enjoy your trip to Kyoto with ease and relaxation. It took us two years to find this building, which is in a good location, quiet, and has an elevator, and then another year to negotiate with the owner in good faith before we finally had the opportunity to purchase and operate it.Most of the residents in the building are Japanese, which allows guests to experience Japanese daily life more authentically. We put a lot of care into designing the dozens of rooms in the entire building in different styles. Many of the themes in each room were handcrafted and painted by us, and it takes about a month or more on average to add a new room.
